Where Your Pet Items Go
Clean, usable pet items left at STAY Camden: beds, toys, bowls, cages, and more are now donated to Cats Protection’s Hendon centre. These donations directly support animals in their care, providing comfort and enrichment while reducing unnecessary waste.
Located in North London, the Hendon centre works tirelessly to care for abandoned and vulnerable cats, finding them safe homes and providing essential veterinary treatment. Our partnership means that forgotten pet belongings can continue serving their purpose, helping animals who need them most.
Part of Our Sustainability Commitment
This initiative aligns naturally with our broader environmental goals. We’re continuously looking for ways to reduce waste and support our local community. From our beekeeping partnership supporting UK biodiversity to our weekly housekeeping service that reduces water consumption, sustainability influences every decision we make.
Donating usable pet items rather than disposing of them is a practical extension of this philosophy, keeping materials in use longer, supporting animal welfare, and strengthening our connection to local organisations doing meaningful work.
How It Works
Our team follows established lost-and-found procedures for all pet items left behind. Once the required holding period has passed and items remain unclaimed, suitable donations are collected and delivered to Cats Protection. This ensures every effort is made to reunite guests with their belongings before items are redirected to support animals in need.
Our partnership begins with Cats Protection, but we’re always open to new ideas. Know an animal welfare organisation that could use support? We’d be interested to hear about it.
Every small action matters. By choosing STAY, you’re supporting a business committed to reducing waste and giving back to the community; one pet bed at a time.
