We spoke with co-founder Sam Jeal, a Camden native who transformed his lifelong connection to the area into a fitness haven that serves both residents and visitors looking to maintain their wellness routines while away from home.
With summer holidays ending, what would you tell someone who wants to get back in the gym again but might be struggling to find the motivation?
Getting back into the gym after summer can be a challenge, especially if you’ve enjoyed some time away. Indulged is some great foods and beverages of course it’s inevitable!
My tips to reignite that motivation is to set clear goals, create a routine and start small. Whether it’s building strength, losing weight or improving endurance, having a specific goal can give you a clear direction, begin with shorter workouts and gradually increase your intensity and frequency as your motivation returns.
Getting back into the swing of things is all about finding what works for you and making it enjoyable. Remember, consistency is key!
What is the best type of training for someone who is looking for all-round fitness?
For all-round fitness, focus on a balanced training regimen that includes the core fundamentals of fitness. Functional Strength Training, Cardiovascular workouts , flexibility & mobility. If you manage to include all of these elements you are on your way to an all rounded fitter person.
A lot of our guests are here for work and away from their usual gym. What’s your take on keeping up with fitness when you’re not at home?
Staying active while traveling can be challenging, but it’s definitely doable. You can incorporate short workouts in your hotel room, like bodyweight exercises or yoga. If there’s a gym available, even a quick session can help. Also, consider outdoor activities like walking or jogging in a new area to explore while getting exercise. Keeping a routine, even if it’s modified, can help maintain your fitness levels. Plus, finding local classes or fitness groups can be a fun way to stay active and meet new people.
Tell us about the classes you run – what would work well for someone staying with us who wants to try something new?
We offer such a variety of classes there won’t be much we can’t offer in terms of the “all rounded fitness”.
From Pilates to strength classes our experienced coaches will put you through your paces. We take on all fitness levels and there is no egos in our gym. We offer a fun, exhilarating experience with no judgment. Come and give us a try!!

Having grown up in Camden all my life, as a young William Ellis student I’ve always wanted to make my mark in the heart of Camden.
